Community Arts Partnership (CAP) at CalArts

The CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP), a program of the California Institute of the Arts, links the Institute and the diverse communities of Los Angeles County through free, after-school, school-based, and summer arts programs for youth taught by current CalArts students, faculty, and alumni.

CSSSA – Herb Alpert Scholarships for Emerging Young Artists

The California State Summer School for the Arts is a rigorous pre-professional training program in the visual and performing arts, creative writing, animation, and film for talented artists of high school age. With support from the Foundation, the CSSSA Foundation works to ensure equitable access to the Summer School for all students by providing scholarships for attendance. All CSSSA students are then eligible for the Herb Alpert Scholarships for Emerging Young Artists, created to connect students to institutions of higher learning and professional training in the arts.

Gabriella Foundation

Through the The Gabriella Foundation’s Everybody Dance! program, 3,000 young lives are transformed annually through high-quality dance instruction and artistic expression. The Everybody Dance! community creates a safe, innovative, and nurturing environment to help youth thrive in reaching their full potential creatively, and in life.

Ghetto Film School (GFS) is an award-winning nonprofit founded in 2000 to educate, develop and celebrate the next generation of great American storytellers, always free of charge. GFS identifies young talent from local communities and provide them with the access, opportunity, and resources to pursue creative careers.
