Can I write to you for a grant?
-
Grants are by invitation only.
-
We do not accept unsolicited proposals for review. Our work is focused on specific priority areas of interest and decisions for funding are based on research done by the foundation. In this way we are able to identify opportunities that most appropriately fit our objectives at a particular point in time.
-
Additionally, we are only able to fund 501(c)(3) organizations and cannot fund directly to individuals.
-
Have the Alperts funded outside
the three areas listed in “Areas

-
Yes – in the early years of the Foundation, the Alperts funded many causes, including support to health and medical research and environmental issues.

-
However, over the last several years they determined that their support could be more effective if targeted in the few priority areas described on this site.
